wildlife report

After the lego report, I flew to kuala lumpur for one day and then back to bali. I then went to Lombok, but it was completely deserted so I went to the Gili Islands. The 1st one, Gili Air (water island) was beautiful. The first place we stayed in was like someones house that they had moved out of for the night. it was clean and everthing, but there were family photos everywhere, a big video cd collection and a tv, and a childs backpack with schoolbooks left in one of the rooms. but we left after one night because i made a bit of a mess with some insects. there was a big line of ants going near my bed,so i sprayed it with insect repellent but it just made them start to spread up the wall. they soon died, but there was a really dark patch where the bodies of hundreds of dead ants lay. Then we stayed in bamboo bungaloes on stilts that were loads better. even though they werr loads grubbier and had holes everywhere,, with the mosquito net and outdoor toilet, like really deluxe camping. I also killed ants here but these ones where giant red ones that i was worried woudl enter the room. we did snorkelling and saw millions of tropical fish and swam really close to giant turtles . there wasnt really much to do on that island, so we decided to go to the 3rd island, Gili Trawangan ('tra-la-la', hill island or party island) it was the biggest island, but stil there wasn no road and you got around in a horse and cart. at our end of the island though there were tonnes of flies that landed all over you and your food and spoilt everything. there was really good sealife to poke here when the tide went out. we found a massive blue crap but it hid iside a rock. we poked it with sticks of coral but it kept snapping them to pieces.. There is less than 2 weeks now until I return to real life and I think im really lookign forward to it but not certain. Even though it may sound liek i havent had that good a time, its coz the most interesting things to read abotu is all the bad and weird stuff. otherwise id just be writing 'oh the most beautiful scenery this' or 'its really nice and relaxing that'. but ive had millions of ideas for projects that im really itching to do and im really missing the food. one morning i woke up fantasising a salami and cheese sandwich. but by soem amazing coincidence, i ate the most amazing sandwich in the whoel of indonesia that lunch time called 'chicken island sandwich'. tomorrow we head back to bali again where there are stray dogs everywhere soem with gaping holes in their backs, and cows that eat plastic bags.
